Melrose Pure Vegetable Glycerine is a natural humectant that has emollient like properties which can soften and soothe the skin and helps the outer skin layer (the epidermis) to retain moisture. I like to make my hand sanitiser out of one part glycerine and two parts organic ethanol, ethanol or isopropyl alcohol. Vegetable glycerine is a clear, colourless, and odourless liquid with a sweet taste and has the consistency of a thick syrup. Glycerin can be used as a natural sweetener. It does not significantly elevate blood sugar levels.
